Well its been a few days since I posted a bunch of names for sale over at Namepros. I have to say I’m a little disappointed in the interest I have had so far. Granted they aren’t anything that special and if it were six months ago I would happily take anything above reg fee for them. I think the problem right now is the time of year. The holiday season is upon us and even I have noticed a dip in general domain sales in the Namepros marketplace let alone in this particular niche. I think I will close my sales thread and hold out until the new year. Give it a few weeks after everyone is back into the swing of things and eaten enough mince pies to last till next Christmas.
Everyone seems to be going crazy for social bookmark sites and since it all started with del.icio.us back in 2003 more and more sites provide links so that you can share your favourite sites with other web users. Hoping to cater for most, I have installed a social bookmarking plugin and added some funky graphics to some of the more popular sites. You will find them at the bottom of every new post. I hope at least someone finds this useful! Happy bookmarking!
Ive had this blog up and running for a while now and I have to admit it has certainly been fun writing new posts every few days. After looking at this months current visitor statistics for the first time I wondered what it actually is that people are searching for to land at Quad Letter Domains. I have to say there is quite a broad range of varying topics that people are searching for in this area. A few examples: ‘four letter .net’, ‘4 letter domains’, ‘list of all cvcv.info combinations’, ‘available 4 letter domains
‘ and my all time favourite ‘quad domains’!
Although I have always said that I will hold onto every LLLL.com domain I buy over the coming months I have hit a snag… Cash flow. There just isn’t enough to go around and with TD messing me about with my payout last month and then again this month I just don’t have enough money to fund my new found LLLL addiction.
Following a previous article I wrote about the LLLL.net market potential last week, I thought an update was in order. After careful consideration and a lot of time spent on research I have expanded my portfolio with a number of quad letter dot net domains. Not nearly as many as I would like but enough to hold onto whereby the renewal fees won’t break the bank! I think that if anyone is going to do this the time is now. Cherry pick the good ones while there are plenty to consider and plenty to research.
Ive been struggling to decide on what area of the LLLL.com market I should concentrate… There are just so many! Pronounceable, premium, semi premium or even just plain awful? The latest sales figures show that pronounceable domains are still rising at a fast pace and even semi-pronounceable four letter domains are holding excellent ground and now any further investment in these areas will need considerable funding. I’ve been picking what I think is the best of the bunch from the forums and on Ebay whilst ignoring Snap for the most part because of the premium price some people seem to be willing to pay for the daily drops. There are far cheaper places to buy up quad letter names at this stage.
I have been spending some time this week analysing my ever expanding portfolio and putting together development ideas for some of the names that receive consistent traffic. A domains value can be increased by lifting its unique visitors and revenue. What I believe to be different in this particular market is the significantly lower number of domains available. The more that are developed the more demand will increase because the number of unused domains available for sale will reduce. If these names have a legitimate use then you will only push their market value up even more than the current market reseller trend.

Well I have to say the enthusiasm of a particular Namepros member has certainly sparked a lot of positive and negative views on the current state of the quad letter .net marketplace. Reece of ‘Four Letter Noob‘ started the LLLL.net Countdown thread a couple of days ago and already has a lot of people talking. I certainly appreciate the time Reece has spent to scan the 450K+ LLLL.net names to check availability but am unsure as to what direction I will take in the LLLL.net name-space. I will certainly register a good 30-40 CVCV’s and all premium names so that I have a stock pile of .net names for ‘quadletter.net‘ but will we see a rise in their value in the near future? I suspect not for some time at least. There is obvious value in the premium VCVC.net’s that are, unfortunately, all unavailable. Sales of these names have increased considerably over the past months. Here are some recent sales stats:
