I hadn’t checked my Sedo domain statistics for a couple of weeks and had left everything running in the background while I worked on other projects. I logged into my Sedo account this morning to find an ‘unusual phenomenon’! One of my quad letter domains had somehow racked up approximately $50 in revenue. It’s very bizarre considering I’ve had this name since the end of 2007 and it has sat happily alongside my other domains pulling in the odd click here and there but nothing quite this ’substantial’.
The domain in question is ‘VXGA.com’. There’s nothing special about it but on the 14th of March it accumulated 74 clicks with a CTR of 94.59%! That’s 70 clicks before you try and work it out in your head! Why? I have no idea, it is simply set up with the default Sedo Portal Site template with no keywords. If you have any ideas please let me know, or if this has happened to any of your quad letter domains in the past, I am eager to hear your experiences and opinions! Possibly a Sedo error, or maybe someone got a bit click happy one day or even left there two year old in front of the computer playing with the keyboard!
