After a few weeks off, coming back to news of a new WordPress release meant, as always, another slightly reserved approach to upgrading to the latest version. However, as I have experienced before, all of my past worries have been well and truly put to rest by what I can only describe as one of the most useful admin plugin’s ever created for WordPress - Automatic Upgrade.
I urge anyone who runs WordPress to download and activate this plugin first before they upgrade their installation. My upgrade to the latest version of WordPress (V2.5) really was a walk in the park! Just a few clicks and everything has been upgraded flawlessly with the bear minimum of downtime - about 30 seconds! Impressive!

I agree Richard. I’ve several domains developed with WP and the last version of this great CMS is the best I ever seen. I don’t ever use ftp to upgrade all the plugin that I’ve on my blogs, just a click!

Thats right! I have to admit I didn’t really like the layout of the new admin backend but after one or two days I really like it now… It seems to run a lot quicker as well which is excellent!
