Just recently there has been a massive amount of four letter domain posts started in the Domains For Sale - Auctions forum over at Namepros. Not unusual really because I have seen varying levels of LLLL.com activity in that area of the NP marketplace over the last few months whilst observing quad letter domains for sale. So why am I writing this post I hear you ask? Well, its the price at which these domains have been listed at and are selling at in this location that interesting.
Take a look yourself, it is quite obviously clear that four letter domains have increased considerably in value over the past two months. There is a growing number of LLLL.com sales reported that help us determine their value, however, just by looking at the auction and fixed price sections on NP this week gives us a very clear idea that double and triple premium quad letter domains are selling at substantially increased prices compared to November and December…
…and people are buying!
Many people thought that there would be a lull in sales due to the holiday season. This couldn’t be further from the truth! Don’t get me wrong there are always bargains to be had, but normally January is the month when sales are down because everyone has spent their wage packet on Christmas. I have spent a vast amount of time focusing on the four letter domain market so I can’t comment on other areas of the business in the same detail but for LLLL.com sellers this is just the beginning of what will be a very profitable year!
