I finalised my first purchase at BQB.com this morning. After browsing the growing database of domains on offer I decided to make a quick purchase to see how the process works. I settled on HCTO(.)com, a nice quad premium domain with trailing ‘O’. The auction ended with me being the highest and only bidder at $390. I immediately received an email stating that I had won the domain, clicked the link and followed the payment instructions. Although there are still a few design and usability features that need to be improved upon the process was very simple and easy to use.
I think now is the time to grab some bargains at this emerging market venue. The user base is still relatively small so there is limited competition when bidding for domains although some of the more popular names I am bidding on now are seeing increased exposure and competition. In a few more months I can see this being a very popular venue for short domains and encourage anyone in the short domain market to take part as much and as often as possible!

Congrats on an excellent purchase Rich!
You’re 100% correct — it’s a buyer’s market on BQB right now.
We hit 66k on Alexa yesterday, which is a pretty big jump from the ~ 900k rank we had at the beginning of May. I’ve been so busy with BQB that I haven’t even gotten around to getting my price guide done for May… It’s going great though –couldn’t ask for better members or a more supportive domaining community.
Thanks again for writing up on BQB and I wish you all the best with everything!
