Somehow I missed the Sedo auction for sumo.com at the end of May but if I missed it you may have missed it too so here’s the article about a true dictionary generic with just one meaning: A Japanese form of wrestling.  Although an excellent sale this isn’t a ‘four letter domain’ as we know it and should be omitted from any four letter domain sales report data.

It came as quite a shock to hear of the sale of TDVR.com. The site was originally set up towards the end of 2007 by Antonio (AKA: Nullmind) to host the Internets only database of reported LLLL.com sales and has undergone many changes to become the site it is today.

Sedo simply doesn’t like to post information about failed sales or auctions that did not meet reserve, it’s simply not good marketing. Unfortunately for us it makes it very difficult to report these failed transactions. I missed the final few minutes of the Bond.com auction that ended on the 24th April but thankfully Michael of DomainMagnate commented today letting me know just how far off the mark many people were with its valuation.

This is the sale many LLLL.com investors have been waiting for! The domain sold at Sedo auction today and is a domain that can headline four letter domain sales and prove their real worth. Having checked the Oxford dictionary, ’Tees’ isn’t actually a word but simply the name of a river in England.
