An auction for sixteen triple repeating LLLL.com domains ended at $10,000 on BQB today. The owner of the domains, Reece Berg, founder of BQB, has been building a portfolio of ‘rare’ triple repeating domains for the past four or five months but in recent weeks has seen few transactions when he listed them for sale in the Namepros fixed price marketplace.
Reece says he listed the names at BQB to promote the site but also because he needs the money to further develop and “finance a few extra add-ons“.
The names included in the sale were:
BBBP, BHHH, CCCY, DRRR, GGGD, GGGP, HHHQ, JJJE, LLLX, NNNR, QQQD, TRRR, TTTB, VVVM, ZLLL, ZZZR
An impressive collection although I’m not quite sure what ROI Reece has gained from this bulk sale because I seem to remember he bought some of the domains for more than $625 each not long ago.
In any case, a great sale to be reported and I hope to see the money put to good use and BQB continually developed into the domain site that everyone wants and needs!

I bought most of them in various package deals, so pretty hard to figure out exactly how I made out — I think I broke even, maybe a bit ahead, maybe a small loss but I’ll have to see how the other triples I have do before I know conclusively
Still have some very nice ones like AIII, IIIT, NYYY, and SSSA which haven’t yet seen the auction block.

Surely you’re not going to sell all of them? You’ve got to have a few juicy ones to liven up the potfolio at least!
